I missed out on the Breaking Bad phenomenon, was not watching much tv and just did not grab me and did not want to go back and hunt down episodes or try to keep track of the the random reruns.
But it's always intrigued me a bit, know the rough outline of a chemistry teacher that makes ends meet. Then it hit, that old alliteration bug. The what, the name of this blog, just popped in my head when I thought I'd just watch the last season or final episode. Then that phrase just got stuck under my tongue, Breaking Bad Backwards. What would watching an excellent drama be like in reverse. Unfortunately not being an insane billionaire I can't hire a video editor to cut scene by scene like Memento on steroids, so reverse episodes one by one will have to do.
Great finale, very clever, am wondering what the relationships between the characters are.
Walter has deeply honest regret and careful plans to make right his sins. It opens with a man breaking into an old car in the snow and being interrupted by flashing police lights, he pauses, then thinks to check the visor. Keys. Later he opens the trunk which is filled with money, nine million we find out later.
So many questions, who are all theses varied people, the rich couple, the druggie thugs that help him con the rich people. The woman in the diner? The man on crutches watched by a surveillance team. Who's baby is it in the touching scene.
He certainly knows the drug gang that he manages to wipe out with a very clever device.
So many questions.
